Hi everyone! I'm Stephanie Thomas, and I'm currently in my second year as your PTA President, marking my third year serving on the board. Professionally, I'm a Social Worker, and I also love channeling my creativity as a small business owner in crafting. These roles have really given me a deep appreciation for community, connection, and creative expression.
When I first joined the PTA, I really just wanted to understand what was happening at Bell Elementary and figure out how I could help. What I've come to realize is the profound importance of our PTA's work, and I'm passionately committed to fostering an even stronger school community. My ongoing goal is to get everyone involved—whether you're a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, or any other community member—to ensure Bell is truly the best place for our children. You might remember I was really pushing for more male involvement last year, and I'm thrilled to say my husband, Marcus, is now leading our Watch DOGS program! (Honestly, I think he just got tired of hearing me talk about it and decided to step up himself!)
Balancing a busy family life with Marcus and our sons, Benjamin (5th grade) and Jackson (1st grade), I completely understand the challenge of finding spare time. I want you to know that every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant difference, and I genuinely appreciate every bit of time and effort our volunteers offer.
As my two-year term as President will be up at the end of this school year, a major goal for me this year is to mentor our next President. In order for our PTA to continue, we need a dedicated President, Secretary, and Treasurer in place to continue functioning, advocate for our students, and support our amazing teachers. We're also working hard to plan out the year as much as possible, so if there's anything you've seen or heard about that's piqued your interest, please don't hesitate to inquire about it.
I'm so looking forward to another wonderful year at Bell!
Shanai Ragsdale is excited to serve her first year on the Bell PTA Board as VP of Membership and the Healthy Lifestyles chair! A proud Bell PTA member since the school opened in 2016, Shanai is a dedicated Realtor, community advocate, and longtime neighbor—having lived in the community since 2011. She’s also a proud mom of four boys, including Christopher, a rising 5th grader, and proudly wears the title of both soccer mom and band mom.
With a deep love for the Bell community and a passion for building strong connections, Shanai believes every child deserves strong advocacy and full support. This year, she’s focused on surpassing last year’s membership numbers while partnering with local businesses to bring engaging family fitness activities and wellness education to campus. She’s ready to help make this a vibrant, healthy, and inclusive year for all Bell families!
Hi, I'm Sarah and I will be taking over the fundraising chair this year! Although we are semi-new to Bell Elementary, we have been in the neighborhood since 2020, and in the 380 area since 2014. We are excited to grow some roots here at Bell! My husband and I have a daughter in 5th grade and a son in 2nd. When I am not running my cake business, we enjoy spending time together as a family and with friends and neighbors. We love to play games, watch movies, hangout at sporting events, and soak in all the time we have with our kids before they realize that we aren't cool.
I want to be involved in the PTA this year because I have seen how invaluable it has been for our previous school as well as Bell this last year. I cannot wait to build more of a personal connection with our teachers, staff and other parents as well as our community and businesses around us.
Amanda Thomas is excited to be returning as Treasurer for the Bell Elementary PTA. She has two children in Denton ISD Schools. Her daughter, Sadie, was at Bell Elementary from Kindergarten to 5th grade, and will be a 7th grader at Navo. Her son, Jude, will be going into 3rd grade at Bell. This will be her second year on the board, but she's been a PTA member since her daughter was in Kindergarten.
Outside of being a mom, chauffeur, and family project manager, she spends her day being the Group Account Director at an advertising agency called We Are Alexander. She has been managing the Keurig Dr Pepper account (previously Dr Pepper Snapple Group) for 15 years and counting. In her free time, she loves to read, watch movies, play games of all sorts (board, card, video), travel, take care of her puppy and plants, go to concerts, and plan her next Disney Trip. She loves being part of the Bell Family and is excited to support the PTA in the 2025-2026 school year.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading a good book (I just finished Tias and Primas and am getting ready to start Where the Crawdads Sing), and enjoying a good meal. Hello, I'm Azure Wade! This is now my third year serving on the PTA board. I was previously Volunteer Coordinator and now will be taking over Programs. My husband and I have four children Zuri, Dallas, Cyan and Tristan and our fur baby Marvel. Our three daughters are currently in fourth, third, and first at Bell, where I also work. You can always find me hanging with my family, watching a basketball game, baking or reading a book/comic. I love being of service and love to volunteer at my church and the school. I started volunteering at Bell after walking by the Holiday Shop one year while having lunch with my girls at school. That led to me joining the PTA and I have been here since! I love being involved with my children's education and connecting with the teachers, students and community who all help to shape my children's school years. I'm so excited for this school year and to make some great memories along the way!
My name is Maleena Cobos. I will be in charge of reflections this year and this is my 5th year on Bell PTA. I have a son going into 4th grade and a daughter going into kindergarten both at bell. My husband Jeremy Cobos is a cdl driver and travels all around the world. I am a sub also at our school and work the after school program. I love being involved in my kids lives and school. Being apart of the PTA and just involved in my children’s school overall has been beneficial for me and them. I enjoy going to all their field trips, all their school parties and the smile on their faces is worth it all. My hobbies are movie nights with my family and family drawing time. We are all great drawers in my family especially my husband who is also a tattoo artist. Being apart of the PTA isn’t just about doing extra for the school it’s to help the students and community and we make great friends along the way too.

Marcus Thomas
Hello, My name is Marcus Thomas
I’m proud to serve this year as the leader of our school’s WATCH D.O.G.S. program—an initiative that brings positive male role models into our school community. I’m a big believer in showing up for our kids and creating a school environment where every student feels safe, supported, and seen.
My wife serves as the PTA President, and together we’re passionate about building strong connections between families, staff, and students. We have two amazing kids here at Bell—one in 5th grade and one in 1st—so this community means a lot to us. I’m excited to work alongside other dedicated parents and guardians to make a lasting impact.
